Billy Macrae has been documenting activism in the UK for almost two decades.

This is an edit of his work on the British environmental activist group Extinction Rebellion, centering around a large London-wide event they held in 2020 across various different locations in the British capital.

Held somewhat controversially during the height of the Covid19 pandemic, masks were omni-present during the event, and getting close to someone in public was considered almost illegal in itself.

The work consists mainly of portraits taken across London over the course of several months. The edit is evolving.
