Ger doors

The nomadic people of Mongolia live in what they call “Gers” - known to much of the rest of the world as yurts.

The doors to these tent like structures are invariably designed and decorated by the owners themselves - in bright colours and with traditional Mongol patterns.

This is a study of these doors, shot on the outskirts of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. it has been shown in several exhibitions.
